A filter app that overwrites your source file makes every choice permanent. One that keeps the original lets you revisit the look when your style changes, when a platform’s compression flatters it badly, or when a client asks.

Presets, LUTs and manual grading
- Presets are one-tap looks. Fast, inconsistent across lighting conditions.
- LUTs are colour lookup tables, usually designed for flat log footage. More precise, more setup.
